Your house is covered with the blood
Exodus 12:13, 21-23 (NIV)
‘The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are, and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt…Then Moses summoned all the elders of Israel and said to them, “Go at once and select the animals for your families and slaughter the Passover lamb. Take a bunch of hyssop, dip it into the blood in the basin and put some of the blood on the top and on both sides of the doorframe. None of you shall go out of the door of your house until morning. When the Lord goes through the land to strike down the Egyptians, he will see the blood on the top and sides of the doorframe and will pass over that doorway, and he will not permit the destroyer to enter your houses and strike you down.’
What an amazing promise for ourselves and our families. After sprinkling the blood from the sacrificial lamb over the doors or entryways of their houses, the Israelites were protected against the plague of death that swept through Egypt killing many people.
This spirit of death simply passed over them. Likewise, through the blood of Jesus we have that same spiritual authority over our houses and families.
The destructive plague that is circulating in the form of illness, grief, witchcraft, drugs, drunkenness, poverty, pornography and other addictions is not able to enter your house.
There is a blood line around your door. Jesus’ precious blood is the atoning protection you need. Smear it everywhere so the enemy knows this is God’s territory.
Maybe you even need to stand under your door and pray protection upon your house? Or maybe you need to imagine that bloodline surrounding your family and trust God that there will be no more physical, mental or emotional sickness, coming to attack you or your first born.
The Israelites simply waited inside and trusted God’s promise that death would pass over them. When they opened their doors they realised it had indeed passed by! Get ready to open your door to life as death passes by your household.
“If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling.” Psalm 91:9-10 (NLT, NKJV)
