On the other side of the fence
Micah 2:12-13 NIV
‘I will surely gather all of you, Jacob; I will surely bring together the remnant of Israel. I will bring them together like sheep in a sheepfold, like a flock in its pasture; the place will throng with people. The One who breaks open the way will go up before them; they will break through the gate and go out. Their King will pass through before them, the Lord at their head.’
Do you feel like you are on the other side of the fence? Like there is a barrier between where you are and where you need to be?
You may know very clearly what God has promised you: that ideal job, the restoration of your family, a passport to come through or whatever that dream is you are contending for. It’s a frustrating place when you can see greener pastures that are so close but unattainable right at this moment.
“If only they would remember me, if only I had the finances”, you say to yourself. You poke your head through the wire trying to reach the unreachable strands of grass just to get a taste of your promised land.
Don’t despair. Hold fast because Jesus is busting down that gate. The gate of restriction and confinement is coming down. But it will not be by your own efforts. No, the scripture says the Lord goes through before you.
The One that has the strength to get you to the next phase is working it all out. He is strong. He is able.
At just the right moment that barrier that is separating you from your victory is being broken down by the Mighty hand of God. Keep praying, keep believing!
