Let the promise come to you
Ruth 2:2-3 NLT
‘One day Ruth the Moabite said to Naomi, “Let me go out into the harvest fields to pick up the stalks of grain left behind by anyone who is kind enough to let me do it”. Naomi replied, “All right my daughter, go ahead”. So Ruth went out to gather grain behind the harvesters. And as it happened, she found herself working in a field that belonged to Boaz, the relative of her father-in-law, Elimelech.’ As we commit ourselves to serving the Lord, His glorious plans for us unfold before our very eyes? Ruth made a decision that no matter what, she was going to work hard for the Lord and her mother-in-law. She had a revelation of what God had called her to do and she didn’t look back. As she got her priorities right, her promise just fell into her lap. Boaz was right in front of her.
In fact, Ruth’s SERVING WORK and her PROMISE crossed paths and collided.
Are you withholding God’s plan for your life as you wait for an answer to a promise? It is the very act of doing God’s will that will lead you into the promise.
‘Seek the kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously and he will give you everything you need.’ Matt 6:33. It’s time we start putting God’s will above our own and watch Him bring our promise out of nowhere when we least expect it.
